North Ronaldsay

Back from 2 weeks on North Ron, got 23 GB of photos to work my way through but for now a few of the highlights-

one of around 5 different birds seen over the 2 weeks, always nice birds to see especially close views!

Great Spotted Woodpecker, first island record since 2003 showed superbly as it fed on a sheltered part of the dyke! must be D. major major ?

Lanceolated Warbler, again showed really well on a dyke!

Little Bunting, one of several across the island

Juvenile Peregrine, proper wader hunter!

  1. Nice variety there! Did I read that your using the fz200? Just wondering how it's working out for you?
